Client: Jenny C, Isle Of Wight

From 1 October 2023 all owners that let their property, even for a single night, regardless of the platform upon which they advertise, will need to have a full written and recorded Fire Risk Assessment, by law. The fire risk assessment carried out required mist suppression to be installed within the open planned area which included the kitchen. The fire risk assessment also noted the requirement for interlinked mains smoke/heat detection throughout the property.

Mistek provided a free proposal & undertook a free survey to understand the project better. Mistek spoke with the customer and answered all questions/fears around the proposal & how the installation can be achieved in a fully finished property, especially working with the busy schedule of the holiday let being booked for weeks in advance.

Mistek fully supplied & fitted the electrical supply, water supply, Automist fire suppression system & interlinked detection throughout the property all within 1 day! The timelapse videos show how we “fished” flexible hoses through voids & connected them to a very small pump that didn’t even take up the space of a standard kitchen unit. We utilised electrical supplies in the ceiling to power the detection and interlinked the smoke detectors wirelessly.
